What is a Blog?

There are many definitions

“A Weblog or blog is a web-based publication of periodic articles
(posts), which in the case of Yahoo! 360, may contain written
material, links or photos” –Mister E

“An online journal or diary”- unwriter

But of course I like mine

A blog is a place where you can write about what ever you want, put pictures of your grandkids tell others what you are doing share your thoughts on the news, the weather, basically whatever you feel the need to share with others

The word Blog is biography shortened it’s YOUR story written by you

We all in some way sometime or another feel the need to write what we are feeling about something whether we agree with it, disagree or we just want to tell others about something we have found, the blog is the new publication the new age diary, remember the diary written by the young Jewish girl trapped in the cellar in Nazi Germany?

A Blog is the same thing, she had pencil and paper we have a computer keyboard.

Maybe or maybe not your story might get seen by hundreds of people and like her you won’t get any rewards (Anne Frank never saw her words in print, her diary found after the holocaust) but like her you write for your sake not for the future enjoyment of others you can rant and rave all you want because it is your Blog your space your diary and even if some might get offended by what you write it is your little bit to do with what you want (within Yahoo guidelines of course)

Obviously the intimate details of your sex life or your fantasy sex life will offend some people and does go against Yahoo’s Terms of Service so I would keep that to your self you can still write about it, you can write about anything you want on your own computer on Word, send it into a magazine like Cosmo or another publication

You never know they might even pay you

So that’s my answer on what is a blog and as some of you have done your 12 steps, not all but hey that doesn’t matter it’s not like we are giving out grades or anything

Last post we asked for suggestions for topics and challenges “Ideas for Bloggers Anonymous “

Here are 10 of your suggestions

1. How about a word game, where you post a word, then the next person posts a word connected to yours, and so forth.

1. I like to post a question...say like "Your scariest moment", "Embarrassing moment, etc. and have people leave me their comments. Then the next day, I post it in a blog. Names withheld of course..

1. How about a weekly writing challenge? Maybe post a blog of theme ideas and let members vote on the themes.

1. How about someone starting a line for a story, then each proceeding comment would add to the story or poem.

1. Always like having a meet & greet.

1. Recently saw a blog I thought was cool. Each Wednesday the blogger posts a topic for Friday and each blogger interprets it in the form of a photo and a blog. Blue was this weeks - it is amazing how many ways people can look at "blue"

1. We could play the True/False game! Maija had it on her page awhile back and we all had a blast! Here's the link!

1. Was going to suggest word association but someone beat me too it so.... how about 1st memories or something like that?

1. Like the idea of going to the person on top of your comment page, first thing in the morning, click on, go to that blog, leave a comment. Click on the top of their page, go to the top comment on their page and visit with a comment. Must tell you that you may have to give up before you run out of blogs. But it’s good to leave a smile or a hug....

Blogging tips

We are always getting asked for blogging tips here …don’t know why that is but anyway here are a few helpful blogging tips for you

1. Be yourself, write about what is on your mind, write about the dog, the cat even what is in your refrigerator

2. Be yourself, try not to use someone else’s poem or writing without their permission or at least putting their name on the bottom

3. Be yourself, you might think your life is boring but it isn’t really, that new mailbox of yours might be the best blog you have ever written just waiting for you to put it in your blog.

4. Be yourself, doesn’t matter if your spellingk ist bud or your language is this

5. Be yourself, all the great writers wrote about their own world Stephen King, Beatrix Potter even Robert Ludlum all wrote about places they had been to, their books have characters in them that the authors knew.

And finally write for you, it doesn’t matter who reads you aren’t their free entertainment, you don’t have to keep the masses happy if they like it they will come back.

This month is Bloggers Anonymous birthday
Actually founded on July the 31st but July is the birthday month
besides we can't wait till the end of the month its way to exciting for that

Here at Bloggers Anonymous obviously we like to see bloggers
We want to see you blog!
But how many is too many ?
Is 3 a month not enough posts?
We know for a fact that some people can blog 10 times a day
Some others only 2 or 3 times in a month

What's the best amount of blogs to post ?
7+ a week?
7+ a day?
7+ a month?

Do you find it difficult to keep up with the very addicted (10+ a day) missing out on quite a few of thier posts?
Do you wish some people would post more?

What are your thoughts on this

Don't know why they don't even though they are set to go out once a month they just don't

That’s our original group blurb, it won't fit in our group description any more as it exceeds the 2000 character limit that Yahoo Groups allow.
In July Bloggers Anonymous celebrates its birthday; the 360° page that you are reading has its birthday in August.
We would like to think that the group and this 360° page can last that whole year but without the support of members that just cannot be done.
We will be doing a list clean here on this blog page not to worry though it's only those who haven't updated since April, who will be leaving the list here, obviously Bloggers Anonymous is for those with a 360° addiction and as they haven't updated since April they don't have an addiction anymore. This of course will leave room for others.

As a specialty 360° page we do all we can to help in our subject that of course is blogging, Bloggers Anonymous is a specialty page we don’t mind if you have us in favorites we don’t mind if you don’t comment, in fact we don’t really mind if you delete us because as a specialty 360° page we don’t really have time to visit your page anyway, you wouldn’t expect the Yahoo Team 360° page to visit you now would you? Well we really can’t either, sometimes we will though depending on time constraints and if you ask us a question we will try to get to you because we are quite nice people here.

Bloggers Anonymous is a stand alone group it’s not like any other 360º group. Most of our members both in the group and on the 360º page are long time residents of 360º. The 05’ers, been using 360º so long it’s imprinted in their brains. They are true addicts that don’t need friends, help or themes.

Even though we can help you out with technical information on how too use your page we don’t because that not what Bloggers Anonymous does, technical help isn’t fun at all.

We would rather be Blogging.

The group and the Yahoo 360° page basically are a little joke we don't take things seriously here at Bloggers Anonymous because we aren't serious, people we aren't that serious
